How SoS Got It’s Name

The year was 2015, nearly 6 years ago when Hans began thinking of starting a horse racing business. The direction of the business plan was/is still unknown and very new, but he knew that he wanted to buy lots of horses and either start a syndicate, or buy horse property to board them during rehabilitation or for retirement. Or another option was to invite others to participate in a partnership with him.

I remember telling Hans, “We should name it (the business) with something with your name” since this has been his passion since he was 14 years old. He thought about it, but nothing clicked. 

Then a light bulb came to me!!!! 1). Hans’s name is filled with saint names and 2). people may see the horse racing sport as “sinful. bad. devlish” all because of the gambling aspect. Hans’s full name is Hanspeter Paul. Let’s break it down: Hans = John in Swiss/German. Peter. Paul.

Hans like the birth of Saints Or Sinners, and his plan is to purchase babies – who are normally unnamed their first two years, and name them after a Saint or a Sinner (devilish) name. I propose that the first horse we name is St. Ana!
