Meet Hans

He’s both a horseman and a businessman

Hans Maron is a tremendously successful entrepreneur who has turned a lifetime worth of personal and professional lessons into a racing stable to be reckoned with across the country.  His company, fair life, is a household name in the beverage business, and his Saints or Sinners stable has quickly shot to the top of racing in North America.

Born in Switzerland, raised in Northern California, Maron’s love affair with competition began with a passion for basketball (which he coached eventually) and quickly extended to horse racing at nearby Golden Gate Fields. Never afraid to take risks worth the experience, he bought his first race horse at the tender age of 25.

A professional career in the food industry led him eventually to co-founding the now billion-dollar leader in the milk industry named fair life, considered one of the fastest growing beverage companies in U.S. history.

While building a consumer products giant, Maron never lost the passion for horse racing.  Buying select horses in several racing syndicates beginning in 2015, eventually led to Breeders Cups and a trip to the Kentucky Derby with 4th place finisher O Besos in 2021.

Maron eventually went out on his own as an owner, establishing Saints or Sinners Stable with his wife, Ana.  He now has approximately 50 horses in training divided between California and Kentucky.

On May 30, 2025, Hans purchased a 127  acre farm in Kentucky – now named Trinitas Place – marking an exciting expansion into the breeding side of the business. Known for his sharp instincts and unmatched business acumen, no one who knows him doubts he’ll find success in this next chapter. Trinitas Place isn’t just a farm – it’s the future home of champions in the making.

Meet Ana

Love the hats, & dresses, but love the backstretch the most!

I can’t say I was blindsided when I first met Hans in 1996. He had told me right off the bat that he loved horse racing. The first time he asked me to go to the races with him at Golden Gate Fields, I thought I needed to find a fancy hat and dress. But, he explained, “no it’s not that kind of race this time.” I didn’t think anything else existed but those races with the big hats!

I met Hans while I was in college. Many times, I would bring my books to the racetrack and study. I did just fine since I took no interest in this sport. I got a lot more done than if I had stayed at home. So, one can say I got my degree at the racetrack!

Fast forward to today and I’ll tell you that my love for the sport increased when I visited the barns in the wee hours of the morning and saw first hand what it takes to take care of these 1,000 lbs athletes. I have tremendous respect for those at the barns who exercise, groom, and feed them. Plus, those that clean their hoofs, and maintain all the stalls in mint condition. I love talking to the workers, the jockeys and the very down to earth trainers! This is what I love most about horse racing!

So, when we attend live racing, in the wee hours of the morning, you’ll find me at the barns in boots and jeans greeting the athletes and thanking the workers!
